History of this premier institution of nursing education dates back to 1999.
This institution is a brain child of Dr. Sarbjit Singh — a doctor, philosopher and philanthropist who rendered health services for the poor and underprivileged while working in various government hospitals across India. Facing an acute shortage of nursing professionals throughout his service, and recognising the selfless spirit of women in rural areas, he envisioned providing professional training to rural girls and turning them into skilled nurses for the service of the nation.
Nightingale College of Nursing is situated in the historical village of Narangwal, in the vicinity of Ludhiana, Punjab — a village that has produced freedom fighters, civil and defence officers, and educationists, including the 6th Chief Minister of Punjab, Mr. Gurnam Singh.
Named after Florence Nightingale — "The Lady with the Lamp" — this institution aims to produce skilled, dedicated and professional nurses in accordance with global standards, while contributing to women empowerment through quality education.
Nightingale College of Nursing has a sprawling campus of 5 acres, meticulously planned with functional building blocks separated by lush green lawns, situated in Narangwal Kalan, Ludhiana, Punjab.
A well-planned education programme with expert qualified professionals to prepare you as a future nurse — building confidence, commitment, sincerity and honesty.
